Fulham - Regular Adventures & Scavenger Hunts!

Another week at Fulham has come to a close and it has been amazing sharing our camp with some familiar and not so familiar faces, as this week has been holiday camp week!!

This week in camp we have celebrated a couple of big important days on the calendar including Pancake Day and Valentine’s Day. On Pancake Day, using some play dough, cutters and knives the children had the opportunity to make play dough pancakes and use the natural resources around us to make some exotic toppings, they turned some leaves and sticks into bananas and strawberries which made some tasty sounding pancakes – yum, yum!

Getting crafty on Valentine’s Day, our little explorers used paint and their hands to make the most adorable hand-print flowers to take home for loved ones.

It was also great to see some tool work going on in the forest this week, our little adventurers used the saw to cut off their own little tree cookies and then painted them to turn them into little love bugs, as well as turning our mud kitchen into a love soup potion station.

We wouldn’t be a forest nursery without regular adventures and scavenger hunts! An awesome natural activity this week allowed the children to create their own sticky frames, which was super fun. Hunting all around the palace, our Little Forest Folk-ers were able to select various different natural objects ranging from different leaves, flower petals and grass to stick onto our sticky frames to create an amazing natural framework picture to take home.

As always here in the Fulham forest, we thoroughly enjoy having the holiday campers here but it is now time to say our goodbyes until the Easter break when we will have more holiday camp fun in the forest!
