Fulham - Storytelling Week!

Once upon a time…….

We must say that this week has been a lovely week in the Fulham forest! It has been storytelling week and we have transformed the forest by having a different theme at base camp each day, inspired by our favourite stories.

Starting with Monday - our Three Little Pigs day 🐷 a great range of activities were on offer for the children, ranging from using sponges to decorate a cardboard brick house, using play dough as cement and making some great wooden brick structures. There was even a great loose parts area with crates, foam bricks and wooden planks for our little explorers to let their imaginations run free and building whatever they wished.

An Alice in Wonderland theme at camp later in the week was super cool! We had fun with our new wooden croquet set which really helped us to focus hard on our aiming skills and being able to hit the ball through the numbered arches. As well as this, an Alice in Wonderland day wouldn’t be the same without… yes that’s right you’ve guessed it… without a magic Mad Hatter’s tea party with, of course, all of us wearing our hats to attend!

Celebrating the Captain Pugwash story, a great pirate day was set up on camp with a pirate ship! The children got to make their own little paper boats and then we all had a wonderful time testing them in water to see if they could float. Of course we had to have some treasure on camp too, and our little adventurers enjoyed searching round camp whilst following the clues … to their excitement were able to find the magic treasured shells! 🐚

We hope you’ve had as much fun reading all our adventures this week as we have had in the Fulham forest enjoying them… so until next week!

…….The End
