Welcome back to the forest after a lovely winter break away!
Some of our Little Forest Folk-ers have returned to the forest this week all excited to share their news about what the big man himself left for them, and the adventures they enjoyed in their time away.
We have welcomed two new children to the forest this week who have enjoyed their settle sessions and immersed themselves in exploring camp and enjoying getting to know forest life.
We have spent time focusing on the zones of regulations this week too, especially looking at one of our favourite story books called ‘The Colour Monster’. Our children have enjoyed having this book read to them and we have created various related activities for everyone to enjoy, including laminated faces where our little explorers could use mirrors to look at themselves and discuss their feelings and then attempt to draw that emotion on the laminated face.
We have also seen some of our little adventurers transform into amazing bug hunters and use the magnifying glasses to go on wonderful little hunts, searching for some creepy-crawly friends to observe.
We look forward to welcoming our sessional children back to camp next week for more fun in the forest, what a wonderful start to 2024!
