Wandsworth - "Forest Adventures of 2024!"

Welcome back to the first chapter of “Forest adventures of 2024!”

We hope all of our families had a lovely Christmas, and a well deserved break! We have had a short week in the forest this week, but we still had plenty of fun!

On Wednesday, we took a short walk into the area we call “The Savannah.” Located here, is some super long grass, and with all the recent rainfall, we were curious to see if the grass had grown at all, so off we went! When we arrived, we could see that not only had it grown, but it was also greener in colour!

On Thursday, we had a fun day in the forest, the children seemed delighted to be back climbing on trees and swinging on our tree swing! In the afternoon, the heavens opened with an almighty downpour - we made it back indoors in the afternoon just in time to keep dry! Educator Sam had very kindly brought in a ‘Bob the Builder’ indoor play tent, and so this became a focus point for some role play, with some of the children finding some cuddly toy friends to have a sleep in said play tent, “just like in the forest!”

We’ve had a fun short week back and look forward to welcoming our sessional children back next week! Have a great weekend everyone!
