Wimbledon Village - Dinosaur Cafe!

As the sun (& wind and rain!) sets for a long weekend, it’s always nice to remind ourselves of the wonderful forest experiences we’ve had this week!

Children have been showing an interest in all things fossils and eggs, so Jamie found some books about fossils and minerals for us to learn about in more depth! This has led to discussions about dinosaurs, and our little explorers opened up the first ever Dinosaur Cafe, with the main delicacy being served… Dino rice!

We have enjoyed capturing this week’s raindrops in little pots and measuring how deep the water is! We gathered some mini rulers to help us measure the levels more accurately and compare throughout the day! We then had a wonderful time pouring the water into our creek, which flows when we’ve had some rainfall.

On Thursday, with the high winds due, we decided to head out on an adventure walk into an open part of Cannizzaro Park, where we could still enjoy nature in a safe fashion, before heading back indoors for some lunch! We spoke about Easter, and what makes us happy, with lots of answers to do with younger siblings, it is lovely to hear children already have a positive perspective for enjoying the simpler things in life!

Wishing you all a great Easter with friends and family!
