Wimbledon Village - Farm to Plate and Fruit Pizza

Our explorers have considered what could be used as bedding in a stable for a horse, created stables of their own using recycled junk modelling materials, coloured in a chicken using egg shaped chalks and helped to remove bugs from ‘Poor Sammy’s’ tummy after he ‘picked and licked’! All great activities for farm discussions and hygiene around food.

Winkworth - Singing and Dancing in the Forest +Mr Clicketty Cane!

We welcomed the children back into the forest with one of our favourite songs, Mr Clicketty Cane! We had a fun station to explore each verse of the song, resulting in lots of silly fun. We washed our face with orange juice using orange water and scrubbed our reflections in the mirror. The children ‘cleaned their teeth’ with 'bubblegum' with the help of some pink oobleck and our lovely big teeth set.

We also did some more tool work this week, making more habitats for bugs and adding them to the bug hotel. The children whittled sticks and placed them in tins to create a little house for the insects to climb in and out of. It was great to see the children testing their whittling skills and also seeing our new children taking part too.

Chiswick - Exploring and Learning in the Forest.

Although the weather has not been the best this week, the children still had a wonderful time exploring and learning in the forest. Our new Little Forest Folk-ers are gradually settling in, while our existing children have been very welcoming, inviting their new friends to join in their play. It has been lovely to see friendships forming and growing.
