Role play was buzzing throughout the week. Some children transformed the role play area into a cosy house where they looked after teddies and served tea, while others became doctors, handing out “strawberry medicine” to keep everyone healthy.

Chiswick - Autumn Transformation in the Forest
Art continued to bloom through leaf printing, where the children pressed their chosen leaves onto paper to reveal the intricate vein patterns and outlines. Their excitement at seeing the prints emerge was infectious and the prints themselves were stunning, each one a unique celebration of nature’s detail.

We set off on plenty of adventure walks, exploring the woods together and discovering the beauty of nature around us. Along the way, we gathered information about plants, observed the changing seasons and even enjoyed some bird watching - spotting and learning about different types of birds in our environment. 🦢🦜

Our explorers have considered what could be used as bedding in a stable for a horse, created stables of their own using recycled junk modelling materials, coloured in a chicken using egg shaped chalks and helped to remove bugs from ‘Poor Sammy’s’ tummy after he ‘picked and licked’! All great activities for farm discussions and hygiene around food.
